Cassius G. was born August 15, 1992 at St. Lukes Hospital. Shortly after his birth, he was relocated to his home on Nelson. After spending most of his early life on Nelson, he and his family moved to Cleveland Heights that way he and his siblings could go to better schools. Unfortunately, things did not work out between his parents and they ended up splitting. He ended up switching from home to home, staying in areas such as Kinsman, Miles, Carnegie, and Harvard. Because of his parent's divorce, Cassius took a turn downhill and alot of bad habits began to develop. Around the age of 11, he started to write poetry and his poems eventually began to transform into raps and songs. Although he liked to write, he never took it seriously. That would all change eventually. During one Christmas, Cassius got a Casio Keyboard as a gift. He would play it for a solid year, teaching himself how to play. Amazed at how well he played even though he taught himself, everyone would try to talk him into pursuing music. Cassius listened, but still didn't take it that seriously. After a while, he began to hang around Nelson again, looking up to his brother Get Money Guy who was one of the big names around that area. Soon, everyone around that area would learn of Cassius' rapping abilities. After hearing it countless times, he began to take rapping seriously. Later on, he began to expiriment with producing by buying Reason. After teaching himself how to use it, Cassius became very skilled at producing professional quality instrumentals. Noticing his talent, longtime friend and partner Trey Brickz offered him a spot on his group Money Up. It took a while for Cassius to consider this because of his conflicts with other members of the group but eventually agreed. This is when the success began to come. After enjoying hardly any luck with any songs, "Gutta Chick" enjoyed major success with all positive reviews for the song. This song put Cassius on the local map. With his group Money Up beginning to receive exposure around the city, he was enjoying his growing buzz. Now, Cassius G. and Money Up have nothing but big plans now that they have partnered up with Legacy Ent. Surrounded by artists such as Trey Brickz, Gov White, G Tha Beat Thumpin, His Money Up Fam, and Legacy Fam, Cassius plans to put Cleveland back on the map for good.
