Inspired by her jazz background, world travels, and passionate love affair; sensous, ambient soundscapes abound on this Austin native singer/songwriter's first album, an indie pop gem, self-titled: CASS
SOUNDS LIKE: Aqualung, Feist, Fiona Apple, Norah Jones, Cowboy Junkies, Aimee Mann...so I've been told.
Reviews:
"In music, there can be actions that are plucking of strings, reverberation of notes, and massaging of harmonies. And in music, there can also be pure delight in experiencing the product of a musician's glorious craft. As if bathed in soul and energy, only to be dried off with positive karma, sunlight and love, feeling refreshed to return to the world. When we experience the latter music, we feel exhilarated and jubilant. We often come away refreshed as if having had great sleep. That is what I felt upon hearing Cass Naumann's voice." Lee K. Davis, Host – Writing on the Air.
"Writing on the Air was thrilled to have Cass in studio for an early on-air sampling of her sumptuous vocal stylings. With an obvious bounty of musical giftedness, gently warmed with an alluring, but unpretentious personal charm, Cass comes into your heart with a powerful, evocative and luscious vocal charm, whose poignant phrasing and amazing vocal clarity delight the aural palette and stir the soul. We hope to hear a lot more of her soon!" Dillon McKinsey KOOP Radio, 91.7 FM Austin, Texas.

A waitress again in "Stop Loss"... both played at SXSW in March '08, opened nationwide thereafter. Most recently finished "The Knife Licker" my first starring role that was picked up at the Cannes film festival in May. ..but most importantly I have been doing all of this to pay my bills and stay creatively stimulated while writing and recording and now waiting for my record to be released. So if you like what you hear, help me live out my dream- a life of love and making a living writing and playing music - then download a song or two and spread the word. Peace. Love,
Cass
