Cassock was started in Sandnes, Norway in 2004 based on the members desire to form a band that entertains its audience with energy and sharing our joy with music. A genre was never decided upon, but based on the members musical background, heavy rock with power and tempo became the Cassock sound. Heavy guitar riffs, pumping bass, energetic drumming and vocals that catches the audience attention and won’t let go, is the essence of that sound.
Cassock’s current live repertoire is a selection of their songs that have proved themselves on stage, and shares the bands satisfaction from delivering raw, heavy rock-energy.
Venues Cassock has played includes Magic Circle Festival 2008 in Germany, Fjellparkfestivalen Flekkefjord, Sandnes Classic Rock Festival 2007, Checkpoint Charlie, stavanger, support-act for Crucified Barbara and several motorcycle-clubs locally. Their first release titled ”Liberty of speech”, a 6 track independantly self-released EP was out in spring 2008.
