Castalia was a product of four friends, living in a small town in the dirty south, melting away in the heat of June 2005 and ending in the heat of June 2008. They started the band with the soul intent of writing songs that were a collective of common interests and disinterests amongst them. Rockstar aspirations were never part of the formula, just the company of good friends and good times.
The band has definitely seen a few line up changes in the percussion area. Originally Brett Blackmon, followed by Brad Jordan, then Jonathan Palance, and stopping with Tony Wesche.
Castalia has released a couple of friend and self-recorded demos over the years. "Picture Perfect" is from one of those many sessions. The other three songs in our music player were recorded professionally and posthumously. Enjoy and feel free to add our songs to your online music players.
Castalia is survived by Beth Graham (singer/bassist), Carl Goodwin (Guitar), Bryan Vaughn (Guitar), and Tony Wesche (Drums).
A funeral was held Friday June 6th, 2008 in memory of good times and close friends @ New Brookland Tavern on State Street. Along side in celebration was Ko (from Charleston, SC).
Keep posted for further projects from former band members.
