CAST A STONE has parted ways with their vocalist, Billy......and us, the original people running the Street Team page (sPeD & Denise), even though we are fans of all the members of the band, were brought in by Billy to run the Street Team and its page- we feel that now Billy and CAST A STONE are no longer together, that the fair and smart thing to do is to be loyal to Billy and leave our posts here at the Street Team- are hearts honestly wouldn't be into the project as much with Billy no longer a part of it. Denise and myself wish Jason, Justin, and Tommy the best of luck with their future frontman and all the success that one band can achieve....keep listening to CAST A STONE, because we definitely will- we'll just be on the "Fan Side" with the rest of you guys. We are a new project, called Cathexis, with former members of 12 Ton Sledge, a new vocalist and a new direction. We are in the process of writing an album and are about half way done. This means we will NOT be playing any 12 Ton Sledge material in this project and we are musically moving in a different direction than we were in 12 Ton. We know what we are looking for in a person to fill the bass position, and if you DON’T meet our requirements, PLEASE….don’t waste our time and we won’t waste yours. If you DO meet these requirements, then send us an email and let’s talk metal....
WHAT WE NEED OF A PERSON
1. You must be at least 21 and preferably not older than 35.
2. You must have reliable transportation.
3. You must be willing to practice (with band) at least 2 times a week.
4. You must have your own equipment….that can compete with 100 watt guitar half stacks.
5. You must have a PRO-attitude. This means you must be a responsible person, can work well with others, etc., and in general be very serious about this project.
6. You must be willing to put $65 a month towards jam room rent.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A BASSIST
1. A dedicated BASS player. (not a failed guitarist looking to jam).
2. Heavy, aggressive, good counter rhythm skills, but also willing to follow the guitars type attitude, with multi-range/style capabilities. Pick and/or finger playing welcome. This means we are NOT looking for STRAIGHT UP death, black, grindcore, hardcore, metalcore, deathcore, etc... We want someone with capabilities of all these styles and more. NO EMO. Someone with knowledge of music theory is preferred, but not required.
3. We want someone who can write their own parts, BUT is willing to accept ideas and sometimes whole songs from others in the band. We want everyone to be happy with what they are doing, for their part of the whole, but creativity and songwriting comes first with no egos attached.
That's right!! We're back in action and bringin it to you just like this as BDP and Metal Mafia proudly presents METAL MOLOTOV!! This is our first show back so we need EVERYONE to come out and show support so we hope to see you there.
