CASTELL ROCK IS A FREE FESTIVAL TO BE HELD IN THE RUINS OF ABERYSTWYTH CASTLE ON SAT 30th MAY 2009. NON STOP BANDS PERFORMING FROM 1PM ONWARDS + WORKSHOPS AND ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN.
The festival has been running for six years and is a community based event run by volunteers to provide free music to the area, especially young people, who may not be able to afford a ticket to one of the larger festivals this summer. But it's also a fun day out for all ages with many workshops and activities for children throughout the day. There is a no alcohol policy in the castle grounds making the event a safer family environment.
Every year we collect money and accept donations towards a chosen charity, this year we have chosen DEBRA http://www.debra.org.uk/ because a young girl from the Aberystwyth area is suffering from the condition.
