In early 2006, TheCastingDirector.com was created to protect actors from the unethical side of the entertainment business. It’s very easy to be taken advantage of in this industry and, unfortunately, it happens every day by persons and companies, both big and small -- by acting coaches, photographers, and others posing to be influential in the industry. TheCastingDirector.com was born after a well-known acting school lied to, stole from, and took advantage of one of its students, costing him well over $70,000 and rendering him nearly homeless. The owner of this acting school was later sued and convicted, awarding the student in excess of $100,000 in damages. We believe the hundreds of dollars you’re spending each year on casting websites can be put to better use, for example, producing your own films. TheCastingDirector.com finances up to $5,000 dollars each year for our members' films. Five scripts will be chosen and each project will receive $1,000 in financing. We also provide free acting classes and workshops when available. We take on the cost for these classes and you can be confident that you won’t be harassed into buying any class or workshop packages.

Headshots! We can’t stress the importance of having professional and up-to-date headshots. Remember, your headshot is often the first impression a casting director gets of you. If you don’t have or can’t afford professional headshots, we’ll take them for you, free of charge. You don’t have to spend thousands of dollars on pictures! A simple yet professional headshot will work. As a member of our site, you’ll NEVER pay for headshots again! Stop by our offices on a headshot day and we’ll take them for you.
