Angeline and William met in 2004, when William (who was then primarily a guitarist) was looking to put an Irish band together. With Amelia Hogan, they performed as Sheltering Sky for about 3 years. William took up the flute in early 2005 and it is now his principal instrument. Castlerock has played for set and ceili dancing at the Britannia Arms in Cupertino, the United Irish Cultural Center in San Francisco, and the Plough and Stars Pub in San Francisco. They also regularly lead the session at O'Flaherty's Pub in downtown San Jose.
