   About Cast Of The Capital

Cast Of The Capital is the name of our band. We formed in summer 2006 in Aberdeen, Scotland and continue to live there. Consisting of brothers Matt and Steve Morris, Alastair Naylor and Jamie Watt, we play pop-based indie rock music.

2009 has been a great year for us - with appearances at Rockness, Belladrum, GoNorth and Wizard Festival, as well as numerous tours in the summer. We have had the fortune to play alongside many bands which inspire us, and are pleased to have met so many friendly people along the way.

We released our debut EP 'Rotten Kids and Haversacks' via London's Kittiwake Records in September. Vic Galloway (BBC Radio Scotland), Jim Gellatly (New Music), Steve Lamacq (BBC 6 Music) and Pete Mitchell (XFM) have all very kindly taken an interest in our band, and have played our tracks on their radio shows/podcasts. You can buy a copy through our BigCartel store or on iTunes, Play.com, Amazon.co.uk etc.

Thank you!

Hey, Cast Of The Capital

Thanks a lot for coming along tonight. Good to see some familiar faces in a foreign city. Some one will be along to the Edinburgh show to represent Barn Owl, looking forward to it.

We did like a video montage of our trip to Aberdeen, with some inserted live footage. Aberdeen has some lovely springs.

I was just giving 'Tree Sleep' a couple of listens.  It's grrrreat!  As Tony the tiger would say.

I will eventually get around to picking up a copy of the EP for myself, so I'll let you know what I think; but even on MySpace, the recordings sound great.

Keep up the good work.
