Just me, a MacBook, GarageBand, a few guitars, some toy instruments, and miles upon miles of cables. And dust mites. Those things are everywhere.
Influences
all the artists I've borrowed songs from for these Song of the Month projects. I hope I haven't mistreated them and given them back all broken and messed up.
At first I was using this page in a lame attempt to get my first Cease-and-Desist letter. So, the band name was listed as "Amanda Palmer's Eyebrows." This was not intended to mock the dear lady, as I am in love with her theatrics and nimble Kurzweil-bashing. But then I decided against that. I also don't want all the high school goth girl wannabes to get confused and come here by mistake. That would suck for them. So, it was shortened to just "Eyebrows" in honor of my prominent facial feature. (Please note that "brows" is plural, as I DO have two distinct eyebrows, as opposed to a neanderthal unibrow.)
I really only created this band page so I could add songs to my regular myspace page. Sadly, I discovered that I can only have one at a time there. So, I originally put four up here, thinking that they might be fun to listen to for a few minutes. Nowadays I put up the "official" song of the month plus a bonus song every few weeks. I'm probably still angling for a C&D since they're all covers.
So, yeah, I'm doing a Song of the Month project again this year. The rules are: I have to play the instruments, however ineptly. I have to sing (ugh!). No loops, but sound effects are OK. As few takes as possible. I have to love the song. Don't try to imitate the original or make a note-perfect reproduction (like I could anyway!). Once a song is chosen for a particular month it can't be changed.
Why? I don't really know. Well, it's kinda fun. Like a game.
Fair Use: I think (hope) Section 107 of the Copyright Act of 1976 covers me. Especially since I will not ever be seeking (or receiving!) any commercial gain from this. Plus, I'm not using their actual material, not even a shred. Just a pale imitation! It's just an educational project. Don't sue me, please. Robyn, we didn't have a chance to chat the last time I saw you, but you usually don't mind tribute tracks, so we're OK, right? Johns: I mean you no harm! Billy, you don't mind, do you? Tim? Stephin? Stuart?
Hi Eyebrows
I am currently considering which song should be my next single and it would be funny/great/a cheap mediastunt (chose for yourself) to get an oppinion from all my MySpace friends on that matter. So if you want to participate please listen to the three songs and vote for my next single on my MySpace site... You've got these songs to chose from (the other have already been singles):
1. Green
2. Wake Up
3. Unfairytale
Best wishes
Mushi
(As always you will - by clicking on this stupid photo - be send to a really dubious onlineshop where you can buy Unfairytales)
Please, lend me your hand for a second and Vote for Mushi on NME. I promise the world will be a better place if you do!!

Waste your life away while listening to Mushi on Xfm - the more you listen the more likely Mushi is to get Airplay on Xfm in London (this is a good thing)...
Nice work. Sometimes I think Bob is singing "Don't Think Twice" to me because it sounds like he's saying "Gavin" (instead of "Gal"). So it's a very personal song for me. LOL.
