The main musical inspirations come from Thrash & Death Metal styles, thus the following bands have really influenced us: Destruction, Sodom, Kreator, Holy Moses, Tankard, Necronomicon, Hypocrisy, At The Gates, Dissection, Morbid Angel, Vital Remains, Asphyx, Dismember, Kataklysm, Death, Nile, Hate Eternal, Grave, Necrophobic, Vader or Cryptopsy to name a few.
CASTRUM stands for the dark forces of Death Metal and extreme music in general. The band was formed back in 1994. Until now we have recorded a couple of demo tapes and have released 3 full-length albums, namely "Hatenourisher" (2001), "Mysterious Yet Unwearied" (2002) and "Phenomenonsense" (2006), all on Canadian Bloodbucket Productions! Presently the band is working on some new stuff that is going to be the most fierce and sophisticated one in the band's career! So watch out!
