Cast Upon Blind Eyes (AKA CUBE) started in late 2007, consisting of Chris Smith and his right hand.
Later on down the road,he was to be joined by bass player Ben Keen, refugee from Bikini Bottom.
0 haircuts and about 16 metalcore riffs later, second guitarist Cain Hand(job) was found at a Yu-Gi-Oh! convention, silk dragon button-down
sold separately.
Once Cain lost the deck and picked up the guitar, he was ready to ditch the glasses and poodle-hair
and start his first day on the job of fucking shit up (kinda). Once the stringed instruments were filled,
a search for gutteral vocals began. Robert Schwartz then joined the band, followed soon-after By Brooks LaRou. It wasn't long until CUBE
starting searching for a new drummer, where Robert hit up Matt Metzger on the sidekick and said "Yo, play drums for CUBE".
Matt was hesitant at first, as he was about to play drums for a different shitty band, but at the last moment he came through
and attempted to lay down the beats in place of original drummer Destiaron Brown. Things started coming together with jamz like "Awakening" and
"Play-Doh Flavored Drink". CUBE's first show was at Alley Katz where the "Wonder Twins" shared the stage, which turned out to be a decent
beginning.
The night before our next show (four months later), we had a band get together, called Brooks on the phone and said
"You're a faggot. Your flannels arent that cool, douche." and thats when we parted ways
with Brooks the first time. After a few months of practice, things started to fall apart...
the Rockumentary never took place, Matt sucked balls at drums,"Play-Doh" turned out to be super gay, and CUBE was lost.
As the band struggled through the rough waters, the distance between Robert and CUBE drew further, and CUBE was without vocals.
Although we dissed his flannels, Brooks was willing to re-join the band, where things started to spark up again.
"Nunu" was written, leaving mouths open and assholes shattered, and such was the Rebirth of Cast Upon Blind Eyes.
Meanwhile, CUBE (v 2.0) is working on an EP set to release at the end of summer. CUBE has progressed and left the days of sucking ass;
in fact, They'll STOMP YOU TO THE FUCKING GROUND.
