We are a funk jam band from massapequa. we're a 3 piece made up of guitar, drums, and bass, although we're always looking for a keyboardist! and we've been together for a little over a year. our first full length album, Circus Berzerkus is now available!
we're quite open minded in our writing and cover choices...
You may hear anything in our repetoire from rage against the machine and beastie boys to primus, phish, and stevie wonder. the wide variety of styles reflects into our writing, which itself wanders from reggae to metal to blues, but always remains funky.
Book us for shows. we do more than play music; we perform. trampolines, sound-responsive-rainbow-zig-zag-lights, mid-song instrument rotation, and stomp-like three person percussion solos keep our audiences both visually and musically entertained.
Lastly, you're probly wondering about the name. for the past three years Gustave Arthur Kalin IV has worn a sweater every tuesday from September to June, and sir michael radigan deemed it "casual sweater tuesday". Henceforth began the tradition, which spreadth quickly among the high schoolers and even some of their teachers. the band was named after this revolution. So show Gustave Arthur Kalin IV and all the memebers of Casual Sweater Tuesday you care and wear a sweater each tuesday! Join the revolution!
Island Wide Booking will be hosting a battle of the bands on July 17th at Broadway in Amityville.
Details:
- Each show will have around 15 bands
- Each band will be given the opportunity to play 3 songs in front of their fans and our panel of judges.
- There will be one winner from each show that will walk away with $1000 that night.
