I just started learning to play the guitar in June 2007.
I started with an acoustic guitar and got an electric quitar in Oct 2007. I still prefer playing the acoustic guitar, but there's some tricks that are easier to play on an electric guitar. I'm having so much fun with this new hobby.
I also like hiking, going to zoos, botanical gardens, and museums of just about any type. I'm also into crossword puzzles and going out to eat at restaurants.
My all time favorite singer is Olivia Newton John. I listen to pop music mostly, but now I'm digging some Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeplin, BB King and whatever else blues guitar I discover that sounds good. Lately I've been listening to a lot of classic rock. I'm also listening to an eclectic mix of music on my iPod, ranging from 80s music to current stuff, in a wide range of music genres. I still dig the music from the 80's "hair bands" too. Here's my current theme song: Rooster by Alice in Chains.

Movies
If you were to come over to my house where we have 100s of movies, and I was to ask you if you wanted to watch a movie, I'd really only mention two movies by name (Ghostbusters and Lost Boys).
One of my favorite movies is called "The War" and stars Kevin Costner.
I like just about anything with Bruce Willis (when he's bald) and Nicholas Cage.
I quote a lot of obscure dialogue from movies.
Television
I watch lots of TV shows:
Lost, Enterprise, Big Love, John from Cincinatti, Grey's Anatomy, American Idol, House, Heroes, Ugly Betty.
What a great invention, the DVR! It allows me to watch even more TV when I watch too much already. ;=}
Books
I don't read many books these days, other than reading a lot of children's book to entertain my kid. She loves stories and reading books at the bookstore.
I'd have to admit that I was voted "Miss Bookworm" or "Most Likely to have her head buried in a book" when I was in high school, but I really don't think that was an accurate portrayal of me in high school. I think it was more based on the fact that I was painfully quiet and shy. My friends in high school knew me pretty well and didn't think I was much of a bookworm. Although I did study a lot. I also frequented the library a lot. Actually I really do like books a lot. Someday, when I grow up (haha) I'd like to work in a book store.
Heroes
My new hero is MW.
I don't feel the need to tell everyone in the www internet land of MySpace exactly who or why MW is my new hero. Maybe you don't have to be perfect, you just have to make the sacrifice and put it in God's hands.
The knowledge of the fact that we are loved is said to be mankind's greatest accomplishment. I'm loved. You are too. My advice to you is don't forget that you are loved.
Who I'd like to meet: Sometimes we only see each other once a month or less, other times we see each other sometimes 3 times a week,
but I don't feel like we know each other and I wish we did. I'd like to meet you.

thanks so much for the card. i'll head up to macy's after thanksgiving..thats the best time to go shopping! it didn't work out at the mental hospital, so i'm in between things right now. gonna go back to barnes and noble if nothing else plans out. oh well.
