The days of live shows for Catalog Only are past. Although the band never made major waves in the industry such as radio play and press, one thing they can say is that they worked hard and wrote songs which people could relate to. Not in a club or a poppy, mainstream kind of way, but in a way that inspired self reflection for both the fans and the band alike.
Because CO dedicated their energy to their live performances, they developed a core group of loyal fans who soon became friends with one another. Much has been learned since the farewell and even though they won't be hitting a stage near you anytime soon, they continue to work hard to get their music out to the ears of the world through all avenues available to them.
With richly textured vocals and thought inspiring arrangements, their music is sure to find a home in films and commercials. Will Catalog Only be a household name? Probably not, but will Catalog Only continue to make people feel good? Most definitely.
Catalog Only is a really good band from Detroit who have a great mix of rock meets pop with a twist of darkness thrown in for good measure. With non-traditional rhythms and engaging lyrics this group will get your attention and hold it throughout the whole CD. Id say that this band is for you if you like bands like, The Secret Machines, The Cure or R.E.M.
Every time I heard you jam and belt out "Does this make it better," I honestly felt better...a lot better. I miss the those days in Detroit. Keep believing guys.
I was listening to your CD on the way home frmo The Palace last night and I still think you guys are some of the most brilliant musicians I will ever come to see in my lifetime. ♥
Hope your summer is starting out well .. it's finally getting sunny out here on the West Coast!
I have been playing around with different, more electronic sounds lately and have a new song in the works with DJ Preach. This type of sound is the musical direction I'm heading in with my next album - so I'd love your feedback on the demo version I've got up on my MySpace ('Love Like Water').
You guys were great. I came to see you many times at The Dive. Can I still buy the CD (I couldn't get the link to work)? I have a t-shirt but that's still not the same. And sorry i am waiting until now to ask; will miss seeing you guys.
Here are some lovely CO memories. I miss you all, hope all is well. It's been WAY TOO LONG. Coming back anytime soon? I think Breckenridge needs a taste fo your music!
So I am finally going to open my iPod and set it up, and who do you think gets the honor of first CD uploaded to it? Of course, none other than my favorite band... CATALOG ONLY! :]
P.S. To the comment below... are we ever going to get those DVD's and whatever else we paid for the night of your last show? lol. Since then I also have a new address so I'll have to give you that if you guys are still going to send the stuff out.
My favorite memories include fist pumping "Grounded!", hearing a live version of Blue on a regular basis, hanging out with everyone at the Dive, and Jen wearing Jordan's sunglasses at Paychecks not realizing that they were missing a lens.
Well, due to alcohol consumption I don't remember anything specific from any show in particular, they all blend together like a happiness margarita! I can say that I remember going to the 1st show to support Johnny only to find out that Jordan was the singer & I knew everyone else too! It really is a small world. Miss you guys :)
I thought you guys might like some suggestive hints in case you were looking for creative ideas for an interesting music video to make sure it was different and fun if you wanted it I thought this could help out

I was listening to 89X and it was Cal Cagno on so clearly I thought I would call and request a song by you guys since he has your CD but I couldn't get through. After about 5 minutes of calling back over and over I then heard something about calling to win tickets to something and to meet the band, I don't know who... but I'm pretty sure that's why I couldn't get through... BASTARDS!
I still have a soft spot for the one and only Catalog Only. ♥
just wanted to make sure you knew the "moth" preorders are opened up at dovecote records , and that if you preorder it you also get a free 7" vinyl picture disc with a new song and a poster.
also, we will invent a new gourmet dish and name it after you. we make no guarantees as to it's palatability and therefore popularity, especially as we are extremely poor chefs. in fact, i don't know that we have the right to refer to our creations as "gourmet;" are certain credentials needed to make that claim? but we digress. the point is we're going to put something weird in some mac and cheese, hold it up, and say your name in a french accent, and that is somehow supposed to impress you.
because SOOOO many people said they were sad that we were taking "save me" off our player, we decided to be nice and put it up for download for ONE day.
"aww, fifthwindowhigh is so thoughtful and kind!!!"
haha jk
We have a new song up from our new EP. The song is called My Resignation. Give it a listen and keeping checking back for more new songs to be added.
Thanks a bunch.
