Located in the heart of the new cultural quarter in St.Helens in a refurbished old school building, Catalyst Studios brings you the best that modern state of the art rehearsal and recording studios can offer.
Catalyst opened in September 2005 and boasts rehearsal and recording facilities that have been designed and built by professionals - The Studio People.
There is on-site parking and a lift to transport your gear up to the studio. We are conveniently situated in the town centre next to the main Bus Station and 3 minutes walk from St.Helens Central Train Station.
Every room is soundproofed and acoustically designed offering air-conditioning and natural light.
The studio has played host to recording sessions from Independent Record Labels such as Akoustik Anarkhy to Major Record Label sessions for the likes of Atlantic Records. Songs recorded, mixed and produced here have been played on both Radio 1 and BBC television Series Waterloo Road as well as many airings on local North West radio stations.

Hi guys just dropping you a msg to let you know what we do. Sugar House Music is primarily a production label working on band demos through to record label releases. We are also currently signing acts to production/management/artist referral deals to help further bands we feel of potential, by working on every aspect of the band, from songwriting, production, recording and passing the act onto our list of industry contacts.
As an offshoot of this, we also have a record label to release bands we like that we haven't produced a recording for.
Would it be possible to book for just two hours ? you see we only want to record two songs. i had a look at the website and it said £25 per hour plus the use of the drums and the PA mastering stuff. so would we be able to do that ? it would be about £58 wouldnt it ? x
How are things brother? i haven't been out in ages :( will have to remedy that soon. moving house in a couple of weeks so will need a bevoir after all the graft!!
