The idea behind catapult comes to the medieval weaponry which was the most destructive killing machine ever made by human hands. However, the band doesn’t turn out to be the old-school. Not only intending to picture an ancient war, but to create a strong and simply primitive force to the metal music.
That’s what they’ve been doing from the start.
Catapult is a metalcore band from Taipei, Taiwan. And it emerged in April 2008 right after the crew ( Vocals: Skipline, Lead guitar: KL, Rhythm guitar: Mic, Drums: Grog, Bass guitar: Jacob) merged. The band utilizes every possibility to combine the music with other different element from Metalcore, Death Metal,Melodic Death Metal and Hardcore music. What they expect is to make the band stand out from any other bands.
An idea can be simple. However, there’s always about how to promote the idea to the next level. For the past 12 months, the band has turned the idea into the material and we’ve been embracing every chance to explore the field of infinity. In summer 2008, Catapult went on to the Metal Monster which is the greatest local rock revelry. In addition, Catapult has been performing with many major metal bands from every corner in Taiwan. Currently, Catapult is recording their first untitled album.
