Paranormal spooky things, I like dead people, they can be annoying at times but mostly they just seem to hang out.
Music
Bon Jovi,The Mockers, Hello Sailor, Th'dudes, Rolling Stones, Queen, Eric Clapton, Bowie, Aerosmith, Matchbox twenty, Meridian Smith, Alice Cooper, Greenday, Shania Twain, the Who, The Hollies, Dead Stoned Babies, Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Highwaymen, Talking Heads, Graham Parker, Metallica, Eminem, John Lee Hooker, BB King, Elvis...lots of stuff really... I guess I am eclectic when it comes to music.
This year my writing is accompanied by Bon Jovi - most often Bounce or Crush.
Movies
I like action movies and psycho thrillers.
Of course old Peter Jackson movies rank highly with me (being a kiwi an' all), if it weren't for him I wouldn't know how to kill a zombie. But I really didn't enjoy the LOTR trilogy.
I firmly believe Sean Connery was the best Bond ever.
I've even been known to watch the occasional chick flick... but let's not spread that around.
Television
NCIS, Criminal Minds, Supernatural.
Books
The worst-case survival handbooks, Terrorism Explained by Clive Williams, Ghost Strasse by Simon Burnett, anything by Jeffrey Deaver is terrific, The Rain series by Barry Eisler.
Situation Sabotage by Graeme Johns (You'll never eat packet biscuits again!)
I grew up reading boys stories because they were more exciting than girls stories. I loved reading war comics (Battle and Commando), and Ian Fleming's James Bond novels. Willard Price was my one of my favorite authors as a kid, I adored Hal and Roger Hunt and their many adventures.
I loved when my brother got new books. :-)
Heroes
Anyone who has the guts to follow a dream! yes thats corny but too many people never try - just give it a go! No good getting to 97 and saying "If only..."
About me: I'm a published writer or an author if you prefer. (or smartass, that works too)
My crime thriller novel, killerbyte, is available as an e-book from mobipocket and on Amazon as a kindle book.
killerbyte:
A killer with a gift for inventive and macabre deaths...
An FBI Agent with an equally unusual imagination and sense of humor...
With a new and exciting voice, Cat Connor introduces Ellie Conway, an FBI Agent who challenges the rules with her attitude, sense of the ridiculous and how she tackles a serial murderer with a difference: a murderer connected with Ellie’s internet poetry chat room.
With a litter of bodies ‘presented’ in unexpected places, Killerbyte is a provocatively bizarre and entertaining dance. Ellie, with the aid of Mac Connelly, must track down a seemingly motiveless and ghost-like murderer, who defies detection. After her own mother is dispatched by this slaughterer, Ellie fears for the lives of everyone close: her lover Mac, her father, her boss Special Agent Caine Grafton, and chat room colleagues. Reluctantly she begins to suspect her boss, colleagues and, her brother Aidan.
A chance remark provides a connection between past hurts and present pain.
I've had a number of short stories published in the US and UK over the last five years, some in print journals some in ezines. (I think the total is now 14!) Please visit my website to find links to some of my archived stories at various ezines.
As well as her debut crime thriller...killerbyte... Cat is working on edits with her editor of her next Conway novel, Terrorbyte. Stay tuned, we're not too far off a release date now! Once terrorbyte is safely out she'll get to work on the revising/editing of Exacabyte, the third Conway adventure.
Killerbyte: When a poetic psychopath starts hunting and killing patrons in Special Agent Ellie Conway's chat room, Ellie finds herself embroiled in an invisible killer's twisted plan and battling to keep her sanity.
Terrorbyte: When Special Agent Ellie Conway launches the Butterfly Foundation to help the children of mentally ill parents, she never envisaged it becoming a smorgasbord for a monster
Exacabyte: The surfacing of the child trafficker known as Hawk in New Zealand ,hauls Supervising Special Agent Ellie Conway out of her comfort zone and into a terrifying situation as she races to find missing children.
Ethernet: Taunted by a raven, a hidden surveillance link in New Zealand, a bugged cat, a brother-in-law who sees dead people, a marriage proposal, and a hellish Halloween. Supervising Special Agent Ellie Conway’s life is never dull.
Who I'd like to meet:
I have met some groovy people hanging out here in My Space land. This must be the only place on the net (apart from Backspace) that nice people actually out weigh the freaks. :)
I'd like to meet readers, and authors and creative people! If you'd like to know more or have any questions feel free to drop me a line or visit my web site
