Middle English *caterwawlen : *cater, tomcat; akin to Low German kater + wawlen, wrawlen, to yowl ( ultimately of imitative origin).
Caterwaul Records was formed in March of 2005. For the past two years has focused on booking local shows and helping to build the areas underground music scene. Our focus is to work with and network local and regional touring bands. We work with all types and styles of underground music, Punk, Hardcore, Metal, Indie, Grind, Ska etc..
Caterwaul Records is proud to be the exclusive booking agent for the Tuscan Cafe, which is located at 5 South Street in Warwick, NY.
The Tuscan Cafe provides the Hudson Valley with one of the most unique and intimate show settings north of NYC. Caterwaul also collaborates to set up shows at the Doc Fry Community Center.

This year the focus has been on releasing and distributing the first record.
Caterwaul is pleased to announce that its debut release will be a 7" record for the CASKET ARCHITECTS titled ELECTRICAL/SKELETAL.
The record features six new tracks from the innovators of Sci-Fi Death Rock.
The Casket Architects are relentlessly touring with the 7" in hand.

All of the records are pressed on black vinyl and all covers are individually hand printed and numbered.
