The voice of a new generation with a whole lot to say, 22-year-old, multi-racial, openly gay rapper Prince Cat-Eyez is a new breed of MC with a rare form. Though a new face to most, he is far from a stranger to the industry. In and out of the spotlight since childhood. After 3 failed record deals without a release, Cat-Eyez burst back onto the scene in 2007 with a vengeance. As a regular guest star on Milo Management Showcases and various tours he drew audiences in with his unique style and amazing word play. He's also made cameo appearances in music videos for such hits as Melange LaVonne's "Gay Bash" and Foxxjazell's "Feel The Vibe" and "Sexual Thang". Dubbed hip hop's Ghetto Prince Charming, Cat-Eyez classifies himself as a Pretty Thug: A street smart hustler that throws glamour in the mix. He hooked up with rappers Foxxjazell & Miss Teary & singer TJ to form a group of the same name. The Pretty Thugz released their 1st Mixtape "TKO: 1,2,3" in March 2009. Being an ex-gang member, he aims to show that gay people can come from the hood too and be just as succesful and talented as their heterosexual counterparts. He was the opening act at the first ever PCA's (Party Crew Awards) in Hollywood, California, and has toured across the country from L.A. to Boston, to Connecticut, to Atlanta and Miami. Garnishing the attention of writer Khalil Amani, Cat was also one of several LGBT rap artists profiled in his book "Hip Hop Homophobes", which also provides an in depth look at the way the gay community is discriminated against in the industry. Prince Cat-Eyez' debut solo album "The Cat-Astrophe" was released July 7th, 2008 and harbors guest appearances from Tori Fixx, Melange LaVonne, Foxxjazell, Bigg Nugg, and Salvimex just to name a few. Currently, he is hard at work on his sophomore album "Cat Scratch Fever", along with side projects that will definitely keep his name in rotation through the next 4 quarters. As LGBT artists are being heard more and more frequently, we can expect to see Prince Cat-Eyez stay on the frontlines, spitting flows and demanding respect.
