Bio
I am a Bristol based Jazz vocalist currently studying Jazz Performance at The Royal Welsh College with Paula Gardiner and Nia Lynn . My two main projects currently are my Jazz Quartet and my Bossa Nova Quartet " Quarteto Bossa" ( see top friends..... ) and I am gigging regularly around the SouthWest and Wales area with these and various other projects . I began playing classical music from an early age - piano , viola , percussion - then later became intensely involved with the Samba School scene . This led on to me playing percussion with various Brazilian bands including Sirius "B". I then began to do backing singing and eventually decided to form my own Bossa Nova Quartet . Whilst singing Bossa Nova I became increasingly interested in singing Jazz material, developing my improvisation , singing wordlessly and thinking more about the underlying harmony .
