Cathy Kreger - singer, songwriter, guitarist - has been performing for more than 18 years. Her musical style is a unique combination of adult contemporary and blues, with an alternative folk flair. Noel Paul Stookey (of Peter, Paul and Mary) once said "No doubt about it. She has a great voice and really has her act together." She has acquired a devoted fan base throughout the Northeast, especially in Connecticut, New York, and Long Island, where a thriving music scene exists. 2007 marks the release of her 4th CD "Pure Imagination". "Producer John Tabacco is extremely creative to work with!" says Cathy "I had a blast creating this CD!"
Her Band WHAT IT IZ was recently formed in 2005 and has been in the studio working on their first Cd release. The band’s added a rock element to Cathy’s music and has brought it all to a new level. They have performed in venues like Brookhaven National Lab, The Great American Music Fest in NY as well as many other concert venues in the NY area. As of this year 2007 Cathy Kreger is releasing her 4th Cd “PURE IMAGINATION” which will include the bands first song RESCUE ME. Ken Talve (electric guitarist) is one of the band’s strongest songwriters and has extreme taste on guitar as you will notice in their recordings. On Bass is the youngest member Chris Elsener Jr. whose got experience in Jazz and Funk adds a solid groove to the band and will often surprise the listener with a nicely stated lick. Jamie Betty is the female drummer who’s more than 15 years experience, completes the band and with strength, grace and ease.
