Interests

  • General

Singing, Sewing, Decorating, Computers and Coaching Vocals. Check out my website: http://www.letsvocalize.com/
  • Music

Gospel, Contemporary Christian, Classical and Jazz and Country.
  • Movies

I love old movies with Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Katherine Hepburn and Audrey Hepburn. I like movies with good story lines. Don't care for the profanity; however, if the movie has taste, I can bear a minimal amount (and I do mean minimal.) I love chick flicks... not too good at tolerating stupid movies.
  • Television

My favorite tv shows are "House" (I love Hugh Laurie. I hope he's not as rude in person), "Monk" (Tony Shaloub is interesting. He's too clean for his own good", "Greys Anatomy" and "24" are a few of my favorite shows. I also watch the Disney channel some; but they just keep playing the same shows over and over. I try to catch the new movies when they come out. I'm really a child at heart. High School Musical was really sweet. This last one they just did "Camp Rock" really rocked. I can't wait to see the latest HSM when released on dvd.
  • Books

I am a thinker. A serious minded person. I like books that challenge my mind. Educational, Theological, Biblical, and Self-help books. I bought 2 other books by Gene Edwards called "100 Days in the Secret Place" and "Letters To A Devastated Christian". When I get into them, I'm sure I'll blog a bit about them. "Sometimes I end up reading 2 and 3 books at a time. It seems like I never finish them. "Pilgrims Progress" and "Like Hinds Feet" were two of my favorites to read. I'm building a library at home. I have way over 100 books right now.
  • Heroes

Jesus Christ is my greatest hero; next in line is my mother. She just turned 90 years old. She taught me all I needed to know to live in this crazy world. I watched her go thru a lot. She's 90 years old and still awesome. .. My husband, Tim is next in line. He is so precious. He guards my spiritual life, yet he knows how to keep me laughing. Although I don't laugh as much as he wants me to. He's my sweetie pie. He celebrates me and definitely adds to my life. My TV heros are Sean Connery, Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman, James Earl Jones (love the voice) and Charleton Heston (God rest his soul) and men and women like these who help usher in positive change for this generation. I'm sure there are some I forgot.

About me:

I BELIEVE A WOMAN'S HEART SHOULD BE SO HIDDEN IN GOD THAT A MAN WILL HAVE TO SEEK GOD TO FIND HER. I'm 50 years old and married. I have three sons, 25, 23 and 18 years old. My oldest is a Songwriter, Musician, Performer, Recording Artist and Producer. My middle son is an Graphic Artist, Drummer, Breakdancer and Drafter. My youngest is a Singer, Musician and Music Education Major at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. I think they're all awesome young men. I try to keep up with the times; I don't want my sons to ever be embarrassed cause their mom looks like an old lady. I take pride in my appearance. I don't care too much for that chatting stuff. But if you send me an email, I'll respond. My life is pretty busy these days. I strive to be positive and always like to hear positive things from others; although that doesn't always happen. KEEP YOUR CHIN UP!
