   About Caught In Motion
Portland, Oregon quintet Caught in Motion are in constant search of the more honest, more personal pop song. Working to refine each others ideas, co-founders Banah Graf and Sam Krulewitch bore out a sound for their debut LP 'On The Edge of a Dream' more complete than either could manage alone: haunting atmospherics, poignant melodies, and an obsessive attention to detail fill each song to the breaking point between beauty and anxiety. Caught in Motion's live act is executed with the same perfectionist precision the band was founded on, all the while fueling the audience with a stark honesty.

Full articles in "Press Blog" above

Caught in Motion has an ability to wield different styles to their advantage in creating a heartfelt and intelligent album filled with honest pop songs that flow together as smoothly as their skills on the piano. --- Delusions of Adequacy

What a splendid album.... This is the first album of 2009 that I just simply can not recommend enough. If you are looking for a good album to just kick back and hang out with, this is it.--- Live Music PDX

“On the Edge of a Dream” is, quite simply, a beautiful record ---- Northwest Noise

“On the Edge of a Dream”... is chock-full of piano-driven sentimentality, toe-tapping drum and bass, and a skillfully reserved collection of crunching guitar work.” ---- Santa Barbara Independent

Well planned and even better executed, “On the Edge of a Dream” is a work of beauty landscaped with a voice and measure that emits both disparity and optimism. --- Pop Tomorrow

Every so often, a CD comes along and turns a light on in your soul, making you want to sit up and listen. This is just such a recording.-- The Celebrity Cafe

Portland indie acoustic band Caught in Motion's founding members Banah Graf and Sam Krulewitch deliver a spark of the original in their pleasant and striking debut record--- Suite 101

"On The Edge Of A Dream" is a sweeping record that utilizes its instrumentation to capitalize on its emotional potential.... For a young band, Caught In Motion have come up with a tenderly thrilling record with "On The Edge Of A Dream"
--- First Coast News

On The Edge Of A Dream is the debut album from Portland band Caught In Motion. The record offers up ten tracks of delicate pop with piano leads and smooth vocals. Consistent, cohesive, and often very pretty... Each song is smooth and polished, like a river stone, and they flow seamlessly into each other, leaving you at track ten almost before you realized you had reached track two. --- Three Gigs.com

...what I love the most about this band is the creative blend of styles, not just from song to song but within songs. The album is solid. There isn't one song on the album you would skip through... ---- Ultra Indie Album Reviews

You know what? I feel like your sets at the Sacramento and San Francisco shows were too short...or did time just pass that fast? Can't seem to figure it out. :)

Pretty alright.  Struggling with my music.  I'm realizing that my music isn't quite what people are looking for at live gigs.  Kinda frustrating.  Need fresh input.

So I'm really glad I got to see you play; you're amazing musicians and fun to watch. I really like your album, too, your songs are awesome and all the arrangements are beautiful.

Hope your stay in Chico isn't horrible and that you get back to Portland ok! Next time you're around let's do something with that guy from Sacramento!
