Hope you are well.  I've been keeping myself updated with 'Caught Up In The Carousel' news!  I'm busy recording the third Armstrong album and will post you some new songs shortly.  I have just uploaded a new song called 'December Day' which is somewhere in between 'Back to the Old House' by The Smiths and 'Christian' by China Crisis.  (It is a rough mix incase you wished to have a listen).
Thanks and Speak with you soon
    Julian, Armstrong

About me:

I'm the Editor of www.caughtinthecarousel.com, a monthly on-line music magazine. We've done features/interviews with Solomon Burke, The Jazz Butcher, Matthew Ryan, Dean and Britta and film director Tom DiCillo (Delirious, Box of Moonlight). We offer free downloads, new album reviews and a regular feature called "CITC's Consummate Top Ten," where artists are assigned a monthly theme (we've done everything from Top Ten Songs No One Knew I Liked Until Now to Top Ten Songs To Play Really Loud After Someone Has Broken Up With You And You're Standing Really Close To Something Sharp Or On Fire). Past Particpants: Justin Currie (Del Amitri), Glen Phillips (Toad The Wet Sprocket), Steve Wynn (The Dream Syndicate), Rocco DeLuca, Abra Moore, Magic Bullets and The Real Tuesday Weld. We've got a staff of twenty brilliant writers, an incredible Web designer, a formidable Editor-At-Large in New York and Cyprus and a handsome office which comes replete with a view of an as-yet unidentified body of water, a street magician with rabies and an upscale boutique owned by an ex-Supermodel who keeps asking to borrow sugar. And yes, we enjoy that. As for me... Editor and College Professor, yes, but on weekends I've been known to juggle knives, watch reruns of "Silver Spoons" in Spanish and only listen to songs that have the word "rain" in the title. My book on The Stone Roses (conveniently titled "The Stone Roses") has just been published as part of Continuum Publishing's ongoing 33 1/3 series on seminal albums. The reviews have been very kind and the letters I've received have been very touching. My new novel is complete and is a Young Adult title about warring high school comedians. It's called FUNNYMAN AND THE HIGH SCHOOL COMEDY WARS. More news on that as it comes in... As for the rumors, they're all true: I've written over ten poems about sharks, I hit a mean topspin forehand (well, mean for someone who's 5'7"), my favorite superhero is The Spirit, I love J.D. Salinger, I have a cat who only listens to The Smiths and Leonard Cohen, I write song lyrics with Robb Benson of the Dept. of Energy and I love Toni Collette, even though she never calls back... Write, call, email. Send cookies. We're always hungry. Love and Rockets, Alex Green Editor www.caughtinthecarousel.com ..

Who I'd like to meet:

Everyone. It's supposed to be a small world. Prove it.
