Since their formation in early 2010, Anacortes quintet The Violins have have made a pop-rock splash throughout the Northwest with their bouncy, tender, harmony-laden anthems. With the release of their Caulfield and His Magical Violin E.P. in Summer 2010, the band enjoyed considerable support from the Puget Sound all-ages community, and received steady airplay from Seattle-based indie radio station KEXP. Now, after the March 2011 release of their debut LP, "Before You Die," it seems The Violins are poised for a new level of acclaim. Poppy yet gritty, uplifting and substantive, "Before You Die" displays the band's cohesive ability to construct quirky, honest compositions - all without major-label backing. With their unique musicianship and overflowing energy, The Violins continue to lead audiences of all ages to dance, sing, jump, and howl along. -
