Biografía

Caustic se forma a principios del año 92 gracias a la fusión de dos bandas. Después de varios cambios de formación, el grupo se consolida y se prepara el material que se grabará en la demo "The sensations of the end", auto-editada por la banda misma el año 95. El estilo practicado se puede catalogar como death metal clásico y al mismo tiempo técnico. Después de unos cambios de formación, se prepara el material que incluirá su primer Cd, que finalmente se graba el año 98 con el nombre de "Rebirth of Procreation", editado por la discográfica nipona Jackhammer Music en el 99. El Cd tiene una buena respuesta a nivel underground y se distribuye a escala mundial . Musicalmente deriva hacia tendencias más extremas del death metal sin olvidar algunas pinceladas del death metal más clásico. La formación que participó en la grabación del Cd era: Xavier Brosa al bajo, Miquel Vidal como guitarra rítmica, Chus Torres como batería, David Blaya como guitarra solista y Roger Moreno a las voces.

El grupo sigue con los cambios de formación y David Blaya abandona la banda de una forma amistosa. Este hecho hace peligrar la continuación del grupo pero finalmente se decide continuar con un solo guitarra. A partir de ese momento Caustic empieza a ofrecer numerosos conciertos por Catalunya. sobretodo en la provincia de Barcelona. Actualmente Caustic se encuentra recopilando material para su segundo Cd.

Durante el 2004 contactan con Franco quien actualmente es su segundo guitarra (Ex-Fermento y ex-Unnatural) y con los Axstudios donde graban su nuevo trabajo "The Horror Cult". El resultado son nueve temas intensos y con una gran dosis de brutalidad y técnica donde destaca el hecho que ya no utilizan sólo el inglés para las letras sinó que tienen un tema en catalán y uno en castellano. Actualmente el grup ha autoeditado el disco y está buscando una discográfica mientras van haciendo conciertos de presentación del trabajo.

Caustic is formed at the beginning of the year 1992 as a result of the fusion of two bands. After various changes in the line up, the band consolidates, and prepares new material registered in the demo: “The Sensations of the End”, autoedited by the band in the year 1995. The band style is a classic and, at the same time, technic death metal. After a few more changes in the line up, new material is prepared in order to record what will be the first Cd of the band, finally recorded in the year 1998 under the name of “Rebirth of Procreation”, edited by the Japanese record label Jackhammer Music in 1999. The Cd receives a good answer at “underground” level, and it distributed around the worlds. Musically, it turns towards the most extreme tendencies of Death Metal, while still keeping some of the most classical Death Metal features. The line up involved in the Cd record sessions was: Xavier Brossa (bass), Miquel Vidal (rhythm guitar), Chus Torres (drums), David Blaya (lead guitar) and Roger Moreno (grunts)...

.. ..The band suffers another change in the line up as David Blaya leaves it in a friendly manner; which, initially, forces the band thinking about withdrawing; but it is finally decided to keep going on with a single guitar. From here Caustic starts playing in many gigs in ....Catalonia...., mainly around ....Barcelona.... zone. During that time, Caustic was compiling all the material composed in order to record what will be their second Cd...

..During the year 2004, Caustic decided to record this second Cd. That's when the band meets their current second guitar player, Franco (ex-unnatural and ex-fermento). They start producing what will become their second Cd “The Horror Cult” at Axstudios (......Barcelona....). During January 2005, Caustic works in cooperation with Mister AX until they finally create “The Horror Cult”, where they combine the brutality and the technic with a strong intensity. Totally 9 songs, two of which are sung in languages other than English, that's Catalan and Spanish. After auto-editing the Cd, the band is carrying out promotional gigs of “The Horror Cult” and is introducing this new material to the record labels which support brutal death.
