Dancing, reading, and geo-caching (you must check it out, it's a scavenger hunt with a GPS http://www.geocaching.com/).I love my hubby, sons, dogs, and all the stuff that comes with family. I like being social and going out (to dance - imagine that). I also run, have been doing it for about 10 years...the best race of all, "The 7-mile bridge" run, I did it with my son, hubby, and mom!
Music
70's disco, much to my hubby's dismay...I love any type of dance music, with a beat! Barry White is the best, I don't care what anyone says.I also love classic rock and roll - Rolling Stones are the best! My sons introduced my to the Black-eyed Peas, Joss Stone, Amy Winehouse, Just Jack , and Bonnie McKee, and I recently started enjoying Van Morrison and Nick Drake. James Blount, IZ, and Corrine Bailey Rae are some of my favorites. Since my boys moved out I don't see MTV and learn from them.....

Movies
Anything with dancing!!!!!! Also, I could watch the Shawshank Redemption a thousand more times, I love that movie! Gesh, that's a strange mix isn't it? I love Ocean's Eleven (the original one is awesome), anything with Nicolas Cage, and happy endings.
Television
My all time favorite ER and Law and Order-SVU, and now my third favorite "So you think you can Dance". I don't watch those silly sitcoms, but I do love cooking shows (The Barefoot Contessa)and Nip/Tuck...OMG that show is out of this world!I also love to watch the baby shows on Discovery, don't get me wrong, I DO NOT want any more kids, but I love to see the newborns, if I could only hold them and sniff them!
Books
Anything by Janet Evanovich, Dean Koontz, Sue Grafton, and I just discovered Jodi Picoult, some very interesting story lines. I love mysteries and feel good stories, not too much of a fan of non-fiction. But I did read A million little peices and loved it, I don't care what anyone else says!
I just love to read, and now that I am in school, I so look forward to reading something other than a textbook.
Heroes
My mom......she did stuff that I wish I had done; anyone who stands up for themselves and doesn't let others get them down, people who rescue dogs, Brenda, Audrey , ALL teachers, and my step-dad because he married my mom and loved her and her kids!

About me: I am all about my family and friends - and dancing, for those who do not know me. I love my family, even when they drive me crazy or tick me off. I love photos of family and friends, I love books/movies with a happy ending, I love the old VW bugs, and I LOVE TO DANCE! I am happily married for many years (do you really want to know how many? ask Aaron) work hard, play hard, love to drink wine, and run to keep in shape.
I don't like whiners and complainers, especially if they don't do anything to fix their problem, I don't like it when people use the "N" word, I don't care what anyone says, that is bigoted, and I have a pet peeve about bad spelling (I know, don't ask).
I think I am quiet until you get to know me, luckily I have a husband who loves to talk and can always break the ice.
I am super neat, probably anally at times, every thing has to be in it's place. Luckily I have 4 dogs that shed alot, so that has made me a little less "neat".
I have 2 boys that I love to death, in fact at times I think I love them more now that they are adults than when they were whiny little boys. But at times I worry that I did not do all the right things for them when they were growing up. What makes me think that is my uber-mom sister who has been the most amazing mom and I see some things she does that I did not do. Oh well, whatever happened, both boys are great!
I recently lost a very dear friend to cancer, so friends are even more important now. Don't wait until something like that happens to tell your friends how important they are to you. The positive thing that came from my friend's passing was meeting her friends and connecting with them. Audrey you are one AWESOME lady!
I love my friends, and have some that I have kept in touch with for over 30 years (I know, I'm that old)....Deb, Jeni, Liz, Teri, Susan, Brenda....you all should know what you mean to me!!!!
OK - enough about me.............
Who I'd like to meet: My dad (he died before we got a chance to really talk as adults),family members that live far way, kids I went to elementary school, teachers from high school (wouldn't that be cool to meet former teachers and have a drink and talk with them?), people I was in the Navy with, my great-grandparents, my next door neighbors in Guam, and Aaron & Robs' friends.
As to the frivolus stuff, I would love to meet Oprah, Nicolas Cage and Richard Gere...
....
I am supposed to pick 12 women (who have touched my life) and whom I think would want to participate. I think that if this group of women were ever to be in a room together, there is nothing that would be impossible. I hope I chose the right twelve. My hugs, love, gestures and communications hopefully remind you how special that you are. Please send this back to me.
Remember to make a wish before you read the prayer. That's all you have to do. There is nothing attached. Just send this to twelve people and let me know what happens on the fourth day. Sorry you have to forward the message, but try not to break this, please. Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive. Did you make a wish yet? If you don't make a wish, it won't come true. This is your last chance to make a wish!
'May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.'
Now, send this to 12 women within the next 5 minutes. And remember to send this back. I count as 1.. Suggestion: copy and paste rather than forwarding it.
You're leaving in a few days!! Mike says to bring him back some Jamaican Rum! I can't wait to see pictures of the Pauls wind surfing... and you and Mom parasailing! Have fun!!
Awww! Poor Angus! Sounds like he reacts to storms like Munch does. He hides in our closet! Porter is pretty oblivious until they get really bad.
If you guys decide to take off, you can always come up here! I'm a little bored and lonely with Mike being in training (I won't see him again until the end of October!).
Are y'all holding down the fort through this thing?? Hope the dogs aren't freaking out! Munch and Porter go nuts when a little thunderstorm rolls through!
How to describe the elliptical machine! It's like riding the stationery bicycle standing up while waving one's arms to and fro on the bars??? That's my best description! How are your parents doing? Have fun in Orlando without me :o(
No bad weather! It was like 87 and sunny when we were there. It's been nice here too! We had one crazy night of rain, but that's about it. I already love NC more than GA!!
Willie is a long time resident of Key Largo. He is not only a devoted father, husband and friend, but he is also very involved with the youth of the Upper Keys. Willie referees for the youth basketball program and coach’s little league baseball. About a month ago Willie went with his son and other little league members to Dairy Queen after their game. As he left DQ on his motorcycle he was struck by a truck. Willie is now left with high medical bills, a family to support, major spinal cord damage and a long road of therapy and rehabilitation. He and his family need our help. There will be a Spaghetti Dinner Benefit at the Caribbean Club on June 8th from 3 to sunset. Please come out and enjoy a great day with friends, food and music. A generous man from Ocean Reef , who wishes to remain anonymous, will match the funds raised at this benefit. It is going to be a beautiful day of helping a family in need of our help.
