I'm getting into creative crafts like scrapbooking, knitting, quilting (I might actually do something with all that fabric I've been collecting - maybe someday), and I recently bought crochet hooks and an instruction manual with the idea of learning to crochet.
I love to read - mainly science fiction/fantasy and a select few mystery series. I blog a bit, and think I want to get into writing in my journal again.
Family history and genealogy are also in my interest list. I consider them two separate things - genealogy is the who-what-where and family history is more of the how and why. I truly wonder about my ancestors: Why did Lydia and David get divorced and what happened to her second husband, William (my direct ancestor)? How did two of her children die - one at 13 and one at 21? (If I remember the ages correctly.) What happened to Augusta's sister who died before Augusta was born? Or does the family legend of a kidnapped child relate to that sister? There are many unanswered questions and I'm not sure how to find the answers.

Layout made by PhireflyJonathan Coulton, obviously. ;-) I am more inclined to like individual songs rather than everything by a specific artist or band.
Possibly A Dog's Breakfast"
From the Web site: "A Dog's Breakfast was written and directed by David Hewlett from a story by Jane Loughman & David Hewlett. The film was produced by Jane Loughman and John Lenic."
My interest in the movie is ambivalent. I haven't been able to find out what rating it has. I'm interested in seeing the movie because it does look funny (which might be too mild a word). I enjoy watching David Hewlett on Stargate: Atlantis. But I think a bit more of him since last March.
My niece was participating in a fan forum and through that participation, received an e-mail from David Hewlett on her birthday. Now, how many celebs take the time to e-mail a fan on the fan's birthday? That alone makes me want to see the movie. Funny, huh?
I'm a married mother of two daughters. I work fulltime at a newspaper as a paginator/sometime copy editor. I don't have a college degree, mostly because of lack of funds and time. I do have many life experiences - many of the "don't try this at home" variety. ;-)
I grew up in Iowa, moved away, moved back and I'm raising my kids in Iowa. I don't blog on MySpace because I've use Blogger and I'm too lazy to blog in more than one place at a time.
Mitch Albom. I've read - and watched - "The Five People You Meet in Heaven." His latest book, "For One More Day," brings up the question: "If you had the chance, just one chance, to go back and fix what you did wrong in life, would you take it?"
If I have one more day with someone who had died, I would have a hard time deciding. My first thought is my mother-in-law. She never got to meet my daughters, and I know she would love to and they would love her. But then I think of my grandparents and Kent's grandparents and the list starts getting longer.
