Care of the Soul and the Road less Travelled is a "classic' and of course anything by his Holiness the Dalai Lama is thought provoking and very interesting and relevant to today's world. I think that's enough I could go on about books forever!!!
Heroes
The real heroes to me are the people of whom we don't give enough recognition such as life saving doctors and specialists in ER departments, Firefighters, The Police, Emergency services and anybody who puts themselves out to save the lives and minds of others. Such as the bravery shown on September the 11th and the Bali Bombings also where ordinary people were there for each other.
As for well known people I would have to say His Holiness the Dalai Lama, The Archbishop of Canterbury, Gandhi (deceased), Oprah Winfrey (for what she donates & does for other who are disadvantaged is so many ways), Richard Gere (who is a buddhist), Brad Pitt & Angelina (for their Rainbow family) & Madonna also.
And of course all the Social workers, Youth Workers, Nurses EN or RN, Childcare workers and Aged care workers. They are the backbone of a caring society....

long time no hi... hope all is well caz... abit hot here in chicago , illinois. im NOT one for heat. so im hiding out in the house with the a/c, keep cool...tlc p.s... i live about a 20 minute drive from downtown chicago :)
So, it's winter there ??? I obviously need to get out more often! It's hot here and I've been riding. My back is killin me and I have a cramp in my left thumb from shifting gears. Only 25 in my heart, but 56 is certainly setting in my frame. Hope you are doing well. ~A~
