Hello, my name's Caz. I'm 23 years old and hail from sunny Lancashire. I've been playing guitar since I was about eleven and started singing and composing not long after. From then to now I have been in several bands, starting in my secondary school days with Diverted Traffic, to Chicken + The Dippers and Crash Wonderland at college and The Spinning Jennys at university.
At the moment I feel as though I am in a state of flux. I have a couple of projects brewing - firstly, a solo acoustic set featuring my guitar, my voice, my bass, a synth and a bass drum (not all at once of course, that would be madness) and secondly; the natural successor of The Spinning Jennys.
In the meantime, please take a listen to the tracks I have up here, which were written at various points of my life but developed, experimented with and then performed and recorded by me in my bedroom while I was at university. For more of my music, please visit The Spinning Jennys' page, which can be found in my 'top friends'. Enjoy!
Hi Caz, love closed door, cracking tune. Lots of depth, vocls fit well with the tune. I've put some new solo stuff up. "This time", "rocket to my soul" nd "he's a she and he's me and he's us and them". Thought you might like them. Take care, good luck with your choons. Stokesy

Hi Caz, great to hear from you, Read your comments regarding the gig we did at Fuel bar. Thanks for the positive feedback it was very honest. been working hard with the other guys, now have a name, The plastered tree people. yes its a bit mad but there is a reason for it. I am really sorry we missed you lot, after hearing your soundcheck I was gutted I had to leave early. We are playing at the cheshire cheese in Middlewitch on the 15th june. Hopefully we will get to play a gig together again. Take care. Stokesy.
JUST a year of uni and a year in the shcools? Wow!
I have had to do three semesters of internships in the schools and a four year degree (in my case, with working and all of the major changes, it's taking me 10 years) to teach.
I am going to get a master's though. With ten years of student loans to pay back, I'm going to need a master's to pay them all off! LOL
I'm a little nervous. I talked to a friend of mine yesterday about it--she's also going to be student teaching in English (and with 8th graders) next semester, and she agreed that it's going to be hard. But we both think we are able to do it. Just going to be some hard work. : D
I have to do an internship for student-teaching at the junior high I'm in. That's going to be much nicer than taking courses though, because I will be TEACHING, not learning about teaching.
