Hey There Everyone, I would like to quote one of our famous writers, Jack L. Granatstein saying, "Our American neighbours have told of their greatest generation that a band of brothers who fought against the evils of Hitlerism, fascism and the brutalities of Japanese imperialism. And rightly so." I totally agree with his message that we should do something the same about our military generation in World War II as well. That CBC docu-drama, the Great War about World War I was good, however, I think Canada should do a movie about our troops in the Second World War, and make it an actual movie. Make it simular to the HBO Band Of Brothers Series our American neighbours did in 2001, and another one about the Pacific War premiering on HBO this fall. A perfect recommendation is for CBC to do a Band Of Brothers Series about Canadian Soldiers in World War II. Before, I have recommended we show the North Nova Scotia Highlanders from D-Day to Bienen at the Rhine. However, another recommendation is CBC should make a series based on the book, "Because We Are Canadians," By Sergeant Charles Kipp of the Lincoln and Welland Regiment. In his book, Sergeant Charles Kipp sees a lot of action, and it would really make Canadians remember the sacrafice in the Second World War. Sometimes, I think Chadd Willet would play the part of Charles Kipp pretty good. Anyway, some director from CBC should read that book, and make it into a series.
hey whats up, i just put up last weeks show. its on my page. check it out tell what you think. www. myspace. com/the_uprise it should play automatically.
Hey friends of CBC, Thank you so much for your friendship and the add. We very much enjoy and support CBC television and radio programing. We have to be diligent and push the politicians of the day not to take this organization for granted or under-fund one of the best things our country has going (there that's enough of my 'rant'). On another note, friggin cold here today, -30C, how does that grab you?? (I'm sooooo Canadian, weather and politics!!) all the best dean SCG
