About me:

T.R.U.T.H. Teens Reaching Up To Heaven. The official youth group of Community Baptist Church of Somerset, New Jersey. We are located at 211 Demott Lane, Somerset. Our youth group meets every Sunday night from 5:00pm to 8:30 pm. We believe that there is only ONE GOD, and ONE WAY to heaven and that is through a personal relationship with His Son, JESUS. Our mission is to educate and empower each youth to live a spirit filled life that is pleasing unto God,so that they may reach the World For Christ, understanding the awesome power, benefits and responsibility that comes with being a child of God. Our Group is very active, and each youth is encouraged to participate in one ministry a month within the church. Ministries like Elijah's Promise, Feed The Children, nursing home, community service projects, or being a part of one of the many ministries in the church, like serving on the Youth Praise team, or being a part of the dance team, or teachers aid or running the sound room.... all these are forms of ministry and we encourage our youth to be active in them. Our fellowhip activities have included Lock-ins, movie nights, attending sporting events: (Nets, Rutgers and Somerset Patriots games, trips to Great Adventure, and Dorney Park and Christian retreats. We feature a mission trip to the Dominican Republic each July, that is specifically geared to the youth. During this trip our youth come face to face with the people of the Dominican, helping to build churches, teaching bible studies and ministering to the people. Our youth come back transformed and on fire for God. So If your not doing anything on a Sunday night, come by and visit with us, our doors are always OPEN !!!!
