Hello!

We hope to see you tonight, June 19: Juneteenth Celebration and 6-8pm meeting with Obama for America in Cocoa at Metropolitan Baptist Church (see event posting & RSVP now for the meeting at: http://my. barackobama. com/page/event/detail/meeting/4gsz7 )

We will have bumper sticker, pins and signs for sale tonight at great prices- cash only! We hope to have more t-shirts to sell as well! We sold out this past weekend and have our fingers crossed that the new order will be ready today!

You're invited to join our Brevard County for Obama group on My. BarackObama. com:

http://my. barackobama. com/page/group/BrevardCountyforObama

When you join the group you will have first hand access to information about upcoming events, be able to plan and host events, and will be more in tune with campaign happenings in our area and across the US. We hold events from social gatherings to Get Out the Vote activities & everyone is welcome. Members of Brevard County for Obama and Hope in the Space Coast work together and many people are on both group lists. You may want to join both lists if you don't want to miss anything, but we try to send event details out to both email group lists.

----------------
Upcoming Events we have planned for our area include:

June 19: Juneteenth Celebration and 6-8pm meeting with Obama for America in Cocoa at Metropolitan Baptist Church

June 28: Unite for Change. The event will be held at Millenium Park in Indian Harbour Beach and coordinated by Becky Voss, Hope Bookman, and Jennifer Goldacker.

July 4: GOTV at the Cocoa Village 4th of July Celebration & Downtown Melbourne festivities (Donnie Fields and Hope Bookman coordinating).

July 11: GOTV at Downtown Melbourne Friday fest (Coordinated by Donnie Fields)

July 20: GOTV and group meeting with music and festivities (Coordinated by Jennifer Goldacker & Becky Voss)

Thank you so much for the positive response, friend. It really means a lot. Learnt,” my first novel, is available now, but if you haven’t already, you may want to subscribe to my blog. I use it for posting my short stories. Perhaps there’s one you’ll enjoy, and it’s a great way to get to know me.

And don’t forget to relax sometime this weekend!

Be safe, friend.

-Forwarded message from the AFSC-

"A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death." - Martin Luther King, Jr.

The AFSC has just released a new 2 minute video to help people understand the outrageous amount of money that is spent each day on the Iraq war—money that could be spent on human needs.

To reach the widest possible audience, they need our help. The more views a video gets on YouTube, the more visibility it gets.

So, they are asking all Friends and supporters to:
• Watch the video (at least once)
• Honestly rate it
• Send it to your network of Friends/family and ask them to do the same
Please take 2 minutes now to watch the video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wnq6cD5jk1Q
Thank you for helping to spread the word about the cost of the Iraq war.

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.
I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2008, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere . Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wished.
