Affiliate as a GREEN:
Why Affiliate Green?
1. Greens don't accept money from corporations and limit the amount individuals can give. Individual citizen support is the foundation of the Green Party.
2. If you agree with what the Green Party is trying to do, then right now changing your party affiliation is more important than voting. Voting is temporary while party affiliation is lasting and cumulative.
3. As more people register with the Green Party, the media and other political parties will have to take us and the issues we raise more seriously. The state board of elections reports each year how many are registered with each party for all to see. An indication of public opinion. Party affiliation is the closest thing we have to proportional representation in the United States.
4. Affiliating as a Green provides more resources for Green Party supporters to help get GP candidates on the ballot and to get elected.
5. As the number of registered Greens grow, it becomes easier to recruit candidates.
The Green Party of Camden County is an alternative political party and an activist organization. Our mission is to restore democracy and represent the interests of the residents of Camden County, New Jersey. We are an affiliate of
Greens do not accept contributions from corporations and limit donations from individuals. Our support comes from individuals at the local level.
The Green Party has a broad platform that ranges from environmental protection and social justice to fighting for human rights and labor rights. Local Green chapters around the country run candidates for public office in addition to working consistently between elections on issues of concern in our communities. This kind of activism is fundamental to our grassroots values.

This Saturday, September 29, 12-4 we will be demonstrating colonial beer brewing and tavern cooking at the Camden County Historical Society. It costs $25 (unfortunately), but you get all the beer you can drink and brats you can eat in that time (especially if you let us know you're coming, but coming at the last minute is fine too). The tavern cooking is done in the kitchen of Pomona Hall, our 18th century house museum, and the beer brewing is done outside on the lawn in the lovely Parkside neighborhood of Camden. It's supposed to be a beautiful day. Hope to see you!
