Last year a 19 year old girl who told her father she was going to Tenerife was arrested at Heathrow airport with 1.5k of cocaine in her suitcase she was jailed for five and a half years. The young girl had flown to Gambia and became one of the latest drug mules for the West African drugs trade.
A 27 year old man on a London flight from Jamaica died when one of the cocaine capsules he had swallowed ruptured inside of him and uncontrollably seeped through his body he was dead before the plane landed.

This is just two of the tragic stories that are happening every day across the world.

Young people are being groomed by drug barons to smuggle drugs for them .They are promised between £3000 to £5000 and an all expensed paid holiday in somewhere like Jamaica.
These are often naive vunerable men and women and it will probably be their first offence and they would have never taken drugs before. Often children are in involved and end up in orphanages as the mother serves a long prison sentence in another country.
Their fate will be totally disregarded by the top of the supply chain.
They will have to swallow between 50-90 capsules of drugs like cocaine or heroin it will be wrapped in latex balloons often condoms or latex gloves. The drugs can be between 50-90% pure.
The capsule is about 1 inch in length and is extremely difficult to swallow and they would need to take drugs to numb the throat. They would also have to take constipating agent like diphenoxylate used to stop any bowel movements before they land.
This practice is called body packing or body stuffing and the person doing it is called a swallower or a kinder surprise.
The latex capsules can disintegrate with the acids made by the stomach and if they leak or burst will cause active substance toxicity AKA overdose and the swallower will die probably before they land.
Customs use an x-ray machine to see the contents of your stomach.
If they get caught at the airport they could get between 4 and 14 years imprisonment.
If they manage to get through customs the capsules are retrieved from their stool with use of laxatives this incredibly painful and there have been lots of cases of the capsules being cut from the stomach and the victims left to die.

Our aim is creating awareness with young people so that they know all of the facts because 85% of drugs that come to this country are from drug mules the ideology is that if a drug mule fails they have only lost 1 kilo where as a tanker filled with drugs could be expensive. Some planes can have up to 30 drug mules aboard but only 2 or 3 will get caught.

We create awareness by visiting schools and colleges telling them of the dangers of becoming involved .

Who I'd like to meet:

We are an organisation dedicated to preventing innocent individuals being used for drug trafficking. Before drugs can be on the street for anyone to buy it has to be brought into the country. Our campaign looks at the plight of individuals who have been dragged into this trade by deception, naivety or pure need of financial rewards. Our aim is to work with all national and local organisations that are involved in victims of drug trafficking and raise awareness in schools, universities, and youth centres of the dangers and consequences of drug trafficking. TALK to US If you know anyone who might me be danger of being involved in drug trafficking we would like to hear from you. You don’t have to give any real names and we may be able to advise you so that you can talk to your friend. If you feel that you need our involvement or someone else’s, we can help you with the support that you need by referring the situation to the appropriate organisations. In all cases confidentiality is maintained.
