   Communication, Culture & Technology's Blurbs
About me:
The way we communicate is changing dramatically. To fully understand the world we live in, we must understand the role that technology plays in our lives -- from how we shop to how we form our identities. The Communication, Culture & Technology Master of Arts Program (CCT) explores how we use media and technology to communicate from social, economic, political, and cultural perspectives. Our graduate program is designed for people who want to combine their academic interests with studies of the history and future of technology. With this knowledge, students advance within their current careers, take their careers in a new direction, or prepare for further study at the Ph.D. level.
Who I'd like to meet:
Undergraduate students and professionals interested in finding out about our unique and interdisciplinary Master's degree program.

Note: The CCT Program does not specifically endorse any of the information, ideas or opinions put forth by its "friends." The program strives to include the differnet ideas, opinions and associations of said friends to enhance intellectual dialogue and debate though this social networking medium.

Thought ya'll would definately dig this:

virtual taxation!

http://money.howstuffworks.com/ref/virtual-tax.htm?cid=rss1

I have a friend who left a physics program at a prestigious university in order to pursue his EverQuest career full time. He's doing quite well for himself and I ask him does he miss the academic world and he says hell, I'm still bound by the physics of the game... I'm about three coffees short of expressing what I mean but the concept of commodificaiton, surplus value, all that, is so blatantly clear in the market behaviour of commodities which exist only in virtual representation... how's that for semiotics.... thoughts anyone?
