My Gospel influences are those who introduced me to music and more importantly, a personal Savior in Jesus Christ. BeBe & CeCe Winans, Larnelle Harris, Darwin Hobbs, Commissioned, The Winans, Daryl Coley & Alvin Slaughter,
Secularly, those who've had the greatest impact have been Luther Vandross, Peabo Bryson, Frank McComb, Freddie Jackson, Will Downing, Rachelle Ferrelle, Lizz Wright, Jack Johnson, Mark King, Wanya Morris, Marvin Gaye, Michael Mcdonald, Al Jarreau, Oleta Adams, Phyllis Hyman, Stevie Wonder, Jill Scott, India Arie & Musiq.
Sounds Like
I've been told I am the musical "Lovechild" of BeBe Winans, Larnelle Harris, Alvin Slaughter & Darwin Hobbs! My style, range and sound is best described thusly. That being said, I don't think I sound like any of them. The last thing we need is another "sound alike". I am flattered by the association in more ways than I can say however, My sound is just that, my sound. If I sound like anyone, it's Chuck Arrington!
Somewhere around 1989, I started singing in Willow Grove, PA (Philly Suburb) with a saint of the church and dear, dear friend, (Ms.) Nancy Thompson! Ms. Nancy always sang and got her shout on and encouraged me even before I knew what my calling in life was to be. So, she asked me to sing with her for Church one week and all of "this" came into being. I have been blessed to minister around and outside of the country and count it a blessing to be used in anyway by the Lord. I am currently in the studio completing my second project entitled "I'm Gonna Praise You" and am working with some of the most anointed and technically proficient craftmen/artisans I have ever encountered. It doesn't hurt that They are all my close friends either! On this page you'll find a couple of cuts from the project. Let me know what you think and enjoy what we've been blessed to do!
Stay Encouraged,
Chuck Arrington
My DVD Documentary Trailer “Progression of a Child Prodigy”
Me (12 years old) performing Beethoven and Chopin at a church. Different musicians got together to share each others talents. It’s normally called a shed. Chelsea thought it was comical to hear other musicians reacting to her performance. Check it out.
That is a question we often will ask. And, what do we need from a friend? Loyalty, we know that is true. But, is that enough in the end?
We know there must be trust So secrets we can safely share. And, when we are sad and hurt That someone is there to care.
We want a friend to feel our joy When happiness comes our way. When we complete a difficult chore. It’s a cheering friend that “makes our day”.
We want to know three will be a hand Help out to us when trouble brings on fear. When everything in life feels so empty We need to feel their spirit hover near.
But, along with all the rest of these, It must include a special kind of love. Hard to explain, but, one that you know Comes as a blessing from heaven above.
While friendship bounds may feel strong They are also very fragile, it is true. A thoughtless word, an unkind deed, And a friends heart can be broken by you. So, if you have found a special one Who shares these things with you, Make sure your words are always kind And deeds are helpful that you do.
For those of us who share this "net", And know the joy from friends we've met, It just never ceases to amaze me The caring we get from those we can't see.
We have come to know the words we send Have the power to ease and troubles to mend, With just simple words our lives we can share, And we get the feeling that someone does care.
When our hearts are sad and filled with pain, They "listen" to us and they never complain. With just simple words they soothe our soul. To take away our tears is their only goal.
And when it is days of happiness, we find, They laugh and joke with words so kind. With these dear friends we open our heart. We can feel their touch though we're far apart.
Yes, just simple words with power so strong, Simple words to cure whatever is wrong. A never ending circle of friends, for sure. As just simple kind words make a difference!
Sorry for my absence from my space, It has been a difficult time the last few weeks. I had a little spare time (smiling) and wanted to send A few comments out to my friends!
Enjoy the rest of your week. Blessings and love binki x

Be a friend; True friendship is a priceless gift. Always listen with your heart; You must listen to a person before you can attempt to help them in any way, so always listen wholeheartedly.
Reach out to those in need, even if you aren't quite sure what it is that they need from you.
Realize that miracles are not mysterious or impossible to achieve. A miracle is the small thing you do that makes a big difference in someone else's life.
Remind some one that life is precious and worth living, even though their world seems hopeless and dark.
Know that feeling is the key to understanding. You must have some idea of how the other person feels before you can begin to understand them.
Be honest in loving and caring about someone; sincere compassion is the best kind to give, and honesty is angelic.
Don't expect to sprout wings; instead, be satisfied with the warm flutter of accomplishment.
Listen to your intuition; It won't fail you in times of doubt.
Most of all, encourage more people to do all of the above, through your own shining example.
