My interests are too broad to describe here, though I will try and give you a little insight in no particular order.
I am very interested in bringing peace to Darfur.
I love to help animals all over the country and world.
I am still very involved in helping victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Guatemala receives my help on a regular basis as do many of the California residents recently affected by the wildfires.
I have dozens of after school programs which offer children a better place to be than out on the streets ranging from basketball, soccer and mentoring to reading, writing and horseback riding.
I love to offer funds and services to those seeking better alternatives for patients and families affected by: cancer, autism, down syndrome, heart disease, lung disease and homelessness - just to name a FEW!
With about 850 programs (and growing strong), you can imagine the breadth and depth of the amount of good I am able to accomplish!
Of course none of this would be possible without people like you with the ideas and desire to solve some of our world's problems and me and my staff to effectively get the job done! Together we are the definition of philanthropy!
I am an organization designed to help anyone roll up their sleeves and become a philanthropic entrepreneur.
As such, you can have a positive impact in your local community or in a village halfway across the world.
By setting up a project under me, you will be able to collect donations in support of your cause. And, because you share our tax exempt status and are an extension of the CDP mission, those donations are tax deductible to your contributors.
You may then request funds from your program account with me to pay for expenses, such as mileage reimbursement and meeting space rental for example and/or supplies related to your mission!
Who I'd like to meet: Individuals, young and grown, who are willing to dedicate some of their time to giving something back to the world.
My individual programs are designed to be inexpensive to operate and quick and painless to set up.
All I require is a one page double sided application with details as to what your program plans to do. Obviously many applicants decide to attach separate sheets of information due to their enthusiasm for their purpose...and I certainly encourage them to do so.
