The CDR sessions are about your music. We play only music that you have made and brought along on the night.
CDR is the brainchild of burntprogress a passionate duo who travel all over the globe spreading the CDR love. After visiting CDR in London, Lorna Clarkson (Fbi Radio) and Mark Pritchard (Warp) invited Tony Nwachukwu to Sydney to host the first Australian CDR. The night was a massive success! The spark was lit - CDR Sydney was born.
Now, alongside Lorna and Mark, the CDR team has grown to include Sofie Loizou (Southern Outpost). Every few months we aim to bring motivated music manipulators together to hear their own, and other people's, ideas and creations on a chunky sound system. No pressure - just music appreciation over a cold beer.
In addition to hearing fresh tracks from Sydney's finest, you'll also get to hear the latest, unreleased gear from big names around the world, as our CDR DJs use their extensive connections to get their hands on some of the hottest wavs in existence.
In short - essential midweek business for all producers and new music lovers.
If you're a producer and you want to get involved, all you need to do is:
- burn your tracks to CD. Mark the CD CLEARLY with your name, track name and contact email address.
- bring the CD to the night and hand it in to Sofie and Lorna. It then goes in the box and we play through all the tracks we've received. There is a cut-off time for submissions, and the earlier you submit your track, the greater chance it has of getting played.
(If you bring down more than one track, we will play your other track(s) only after everyone else's tracks have played.)

Who I'd like to meet: Any producers who want to hear their music played on a big sound system in the company of their peers. Anyone who is interested in hearing well known & up and coming artists/producers test out their newest sounds on the crowd and the speakers.
