Welcome to the Center for Adolescent Substance Abuse Research (CeASAR)
Substance abuse is America's number one health problem. The economic impact is staggering; the human toll is incalculable. Among adolescents, substance abuse is associated with the three leading causes of death - motor vehicle crashes and other unintentional injuries, homicides and suicides.
The Center for Adolescent Substance Abuse Research (CeASAR) at Children's Hospital was created as a national research center committed to reducing substance abuse and related disorders in children and adolescents. CeASAR strives to be the leading source of new discoveries in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of substance related disorders in children and adolescents.

The Adolescent Substance Abuse Program provides a science-based, family-oriented, and developmentally appropriate approach to adolescent treatment. We offer a full spectrum of services to adolescents and their families, including comprehensive diagnostic assessments, outpatient treatment and monitoring, and referral services.
