Starting Life in Somalia definitely set the tone for Ced’s crazy journey…
The only time as a kid Ced ever stood still was when around musical instruments. After having a fall out with the violin at age 12, got back on track. Starting out in a few cover bands, Ced soon discovered his desire to always try something new and travel...
He moved on to edgy musical theatre productions, and started writing his own material. Due to a set of circumstances, his first Album “Egodysentery” was only recorded in 1998, but since then the material has been flowing constantly. By then Ced was living in Rome Italy where he started working with various people and created his own Band upCEDown.
He has recorded with various people and written songs for others. From Progressive Rock to experimental soundtrack world music, from Acoustic laid back to Orchestral symphonic rock…
After 6 years in Rome, Cedric moved back to South Africa where he’d spent his teenage years, to pursue his other passion, kiteboarding. He’s now making a living by producing shows and still keeping the creative flame burning by travelling extensively.
