Alexandra Arts	Sep 19 2009 2:55 PM Finally things have started to move on for the Alexandra Art project. We did a test run of the “Tree of inspiration” workshop this august, with YMCA Bright Eyes Child Care Activity Centre; Demesne Rd. Everybody enjoyed spending time in the park, and the tree installation looked great. Get in touch if you want to come along to the next one.

We enjoyed performing for you all... and giving you the chance to experience SOCA Dance The event was great and the audience were fantastic!! Thank you, so much to our Soca Aerobic crew who helped to steam up the place... And Paulette O'Garro for videoing. Pics will be up soon... Soca music will never die... It's infectious rhythm help bring community's together while we keep our heritage alive!! Keep checking the events page for our up and coming show in Stockport 9th May 09 and the Soca Dance workshop details 10th May 2009. It's going to be a HOT session!!! CELEBRATE WHALLEY RANGE!!	Feb 19 2009 4:02 PM Celebrate Recommends: Fundraising event for St Margaret's Church, Rufford Road, Whalley Range The Silver Screen. St Margaret's Church, 20th February, 7.30. £8/ £4. Silent Movie (Buster Keaton) with live improvised musical accompaniment. Plus, other silent films accompanied by Debussy with live narrator, and story teller. Ticket includes tea and cake in the interval.

CELEBRATE WHALLEY RANGE!!	Feb 9 2009 1:59 PM Celebrate O2 Manchester Art in the Community WE WON! A big 'Thank You' to everyone who voted and supported our Celebrate O2 Manchester Art in the Community competition - and ‘It’s your Community’entry We received a call on Friday from 02 to tell us we’d received the most votes for our Celebrate community art - which had been on display in Manchester Arndale’s 02 shop throughout January! Well done to Gaye Chorlton who ran the workshops - and all the artists of Whalley Range who got involved! Special thanks to Manley Park Play Centre staff, parents and children, for their support and help with the South Manchester Reporter press release. We will receive a cheque from 02 for £1000 to provide free website training sessions for individuals and groups in our community, to help people to join the site - and much more!
