    Celebrity Murder Party since 2003
“There is something about wearing a costume that in some weird way helps people to be more open because you feel freer.
When people are covered, a certain wild freedom comes to the surface.”
    - Tim Burton
The History of Celebrity Murder Party
Born in February 2003, Celebrity Murder Party (CMP) started as a joint birthday celebration for five school mates from Gloucester.
Having grown up together and then moved to London together, we wanted something different to the usual pub crawl and forgotten night in a cheesy club. We had one rule - It doesn’t matter where you’re from, how much you earn, what your race or sexuality is. To this end, there are no VIP areas, no special treatments, - Everyone at a CMP night is a celebrity.
Fancy dress was there from the start - no one can be too cool for school when you’re dressed like a bunny rabbit.
They joined forces with the Harlots in 2006 with an idea to help raise money for the childrens charity Camp Cando and since then all profits from CMP go to the charity.
When they met London fancy dress nutters Bring Stuff they knew they had met kindred spirits. Together they put on their biggest party yet in London Bridge - 500 people on 1st November 2008.
CMP continues to go from strength to strength. They were recently approached by several club owners both in and out of London all interested in getting a piece of the CMP philosophy.
CMP currently are Lorna, Robin, Bob and Jez.
What can i expect at a CMP?
Thes 3 signs of a good CMP party:
    1. Shhh, it’s a secret - The venue is always kept secret until the last minute. 2. Meeting place - Guests meet at a prearranged and very public place, which is detailed on the tickets only. Free Drinks, goodies, entertainment and surprises keep clubbers amused for a short time until they’re led to the venue. 3. Fancy Dress - We are constantly surprised by the imagination that goes into some of the superb costumes.
    CMP Soundsystem
Jez and Robin are friends from Salford University where they met through a mutual love of music and partying. Together they are the Celebrity Murder Club Soundsystem.
Jez also creates bootlegs and remixes which have set the music blogs alight all over the internet.
CMP attracts some of the best DJ’s from events such as Bestival and Glastonbury. Guest DJ’s include Eric Kleptone, Dunproofin’, Phil ‘n’ Dog, Defunkto and many more.
Celebrity Murder Party has an open minded, fun approach to music and clubbing. We detest chin strokers and pretentious too-cool-for-school-types. The Music for a Celebrity Murder Party has to be fun, dancey, a bit cheeky. Throw in some guilty pleasures, some silliness, bootlegs of the best tunes from all over the world and that’s where it’s at. If you had to put it into one word: Warped.
Fun should not be analysed, agonised over or taken too seriously. Dance to your heart’s content. Fuck what anyone else thinks.

Caitlyn Hessell's EP Always There comes out on the 26th and features a remix by me.

I have been spreading the word on my remix for ages but do give the whole package a listen as the original and the other versions are excellent.

If you do want to own it check Caitlyns profile for more information.
