About me:

After spending the majority of my life on the east coast, I made a major decision to move to California in the summer of 2005. It was a scary, exciting, challenging, and amazing time in my life. Now that I am here and settled into my west coast life, I see how much it was worth it. Although I was born in Caldwell, Idaho, my parents soon moved us across the country to North Carolina. Here began my love of college basketball as I became immersed in Tar-Heel, Blue Devil, and Wolfpack country. Eventually, our moves led my family to Atlanta, Georgia where my parents and little sister still live today. I briefly left Atlanta to return to North Carolina to attend college at Wake Forest University (now I was in Demon Deacon country! Who, by the way, are the 2006 ACC Division Football champs and gave an excellent show in the Orange Bowl!) and to study abroad in London. After graduating from college, I returned home to Atlanta to begin a teaching program at Georgia State University. I began working at Norcross Elementary as a second grade teacher while completing my Masters in Early Childhood Education. However, I felt that a change was needed in my life. After visiting friends in San Francisco, I thought it was the most amazing place and where I wanted to move. April 20, 2007 marked another big event in my life. I became engaged to Zac Arens. This summer we are moved back east, this time to Maryland.
