I've been writing some new songs with my pianist, Spencer Bingham. We will be adding them gradually. We still have a lot of work to do with the songs, but we will be brushing them up after we finish getting a number of new songs written... The first song we've written is called Never Again. We combined a variety of music styles to come up with this song. The newest song I've added is called I'll Love You Anyway. I love to tell stories and sing with a lot of emotion. I'm also used to singing live, so spending time on writing and recording songs has been very educational =) I hope you like the new songs! ... I recorded Let Me Sing when I was 16 years old. My mom wrote the song for me and there's a story behind it. The song "Querer" I recorded in December to send to a talent scout by a deadline, and I had a sinus infection. Anyways, we were still able to get a clean take. I really enjoyed singing in Spanish and I'd like to write more of my own songs in Spanish also...
Influences
I can sing just about any kind of music, but what I love to sing the most is music that tells a story or can deeply inspire specific feelings and thoughts. I hope to use my talent to touch lives in a good way.
I started singing at about the same time I started talking. I was blessed to have been raised with the love and appreciation of music surrounding me at home. I grew up doing little shows for the neighbors from my front porch. (Now I practice in the garage- haha. The neighbors still get a show.) I used to imagine myself rounding up all the children from the neighborhood and leading them, marching through the neighborhood, singing dynamically for all to hear... My first solo was at the age of 4. Since then I've had many opportunities to sing and perform. Music will always be a big part of my life and I will always love being able to express myself through song.
