Celeste Terrell was born New Orleans, LA, but raised in different parts of the bayous in Louisiana. Music and food were deeply ingrained, so she decided to go to Culinary School in Boston after high school. After working in a few high end restaurants and on her own for a while, Celeste decided to move back south and further pursue music. She's been in Houston, TX since late 2006 and has been pursuing music professionally since January 2007. During this time period she has:
-May 2007 started work on her first LP with ambient composer Alex Tiuniaev. Alex and Celeste met via MySpace (www.myspace.com/AlexTiuniaev.) They have been corresponding via email to produce her album because Alex lives in Moscow! Despite the distance, the demos look very promising
-June 2007 Benefit Concert for Madalyn Sklar - Celeste plays for Madalyn Sklar, Go Girls Music Founder's benefit concert to appreciative fans and receives a full endorsement from one of Curve magazine's 10 most powerful women in the music business.
-July to Present- Celeste continues to play to audiences who are blown away by her vocal performances and guitar skills. Many anticipate her new album
-September '07 to February '08 - Actual recording begins with Celeste's full band, The Bends, featuring Joe DeLeon on Drums, Robert DiBlanco on Bass, Heidi Amundsen Violin and Matt Kufchak Cello. Celeste performs all the guitars, banjo and funky Clav keyboards. Alex Tiuniaev composes string arrangements, performs ambient keyboards and piano.
