We make shows and we use our imaginations to find ways to share our love with the world. We incorporate live video mixing by VJ Evil Che and sometimes show independent documentary movies like At Highest Risk: Maternal Health Care in the High Peruvian Andes by Rebecca S. Rivas, who also sometimes spins fire or belly dances at our shows. See www.loveoramarecords.com for more links and details. LOVE-O-RAMA is currently planning our next tour for Fall '08. Want to get involved? Message me here or send an email to celia@loveoramarecords.com.
I can also be found crooning acoustic tunes alone or with others all over the St. Louis area and beyond. As a solo artist, I have toured the U.S. and attended and performed at industry conferences such as Access to Amsterdam and South by Southwest. I hosted open mic at Novak's for about six years, and before that, I used to play guitar and sing songs at this little bar called Brown Bear Brewery in Lawrence KS every Tuesday night for a couple of years. I also play music for and with children regularly. Here's a picture of me with a young fan in the good old summertime:
You can also find me during the holidays with this awesome band:
Some other bands in the fam: My bandmate Melinda Winifred Jane Tentrees is in a band called A Bit Shifty; my drummer, Tom Collins is in a band called The Perfect Teeth with Chris Wilson and Dan Huck of The In?. Dan went on tour with Love-O-Rama as bass for Celia's Big Rock Band, and Chris played with the Yuletide Express in '07.
I could hear the grooves of the Big Rock Band in my back yard last Sat. 10 blocks away! So I rode my bike over to Pridefest to check it out. Y'all sounded super fine.
i miss YOU - and many many of my fine STL friends. i miss the radicals... the lesbians... the music makers... the ass smackers... some of the gay boys... and those that loved to roll around naked with me in the sheets.

i hope i see you soon homeslice! love, love, love suzieQ
I thought about you today as I read through Finean's "Inappropriate pages", sections 1-6. As I read it, I thought, "Celia would appreciate this as much as Garin and I do." Many entertaining drawings and statements. Come visit and I am sure he will be happy to share it with you.
Tuesday, June 10th at the Schlafly Tap Room Veterans for Peace www. veteransforpeace. org presents a free viewing of The American Ruling Class www. theamericanrulingclass. org/home/ The American Ruling Class, the world's first dramatic-documentary-musical, explores our country's most taboo topic: class, power and privilege in our nominally democratic republic. This feature-length satire stars Lewis Lapham, the renowned essayist and author, and a heavy-weight ensemble cast that includes former cabinet secretaries, corporate mandarins, media magnates, and at least one journalist working as a waitress. The film follows Lapham and two recent Yale graduates as they make the rounds of Pentagon briefings, the World Economic Forum, philanthropic foundations, law firms, corporations banks, and New York society dinners as they attempt to answer the question, Who rules America?
The narrative portion of the film, interwoven throughout, tells the story of two representative graduates, one rich and one poor as they seek direction in their lives. Does America have a ruling class? If so, of what is it made, and how does it co-exist with our democracy? How does one join it: should one even want to? The real life luminaries become characters in a story about power and its responsibilities, and by the films end, the young men must decide: do they wish to rule the world or save it?
cool new profile pic. Been thinking about you and sorry I've been out of touch. Big personal stuff going down for me. I'm okay and doing lots of music, which is truly a gift.
