We make shows and we use our imaginations to find ways to share our love with the world. We incorporate live video mixing by VJ Evil Che and sometimes show independent documentary movies like At Highest Risk: Maternal Health Care in the High Peruvian Andes by Rebecca S. Rivas, who also sometimes spins fire or belly dances at our shows. See www.loveoramarecords.com for more links and details. LOVE-O-RAMA is currently planning our next tour for Fall '08. Want to get involved? Message me here or send an email to celia@loveoramarecords.com.
I can also be found crooning acoustic tunes alone or with others all over the St. Louis area and beyond. As a solo artist, I have toured the U.S. and attended and performed at industry conferences such as Access to Amsterdam and South by Southwest. I hosted open mic at Novak's for about six years, and before that, I used to play guitar and sing songs at this little bar called Brown Bear Brewery in Lawrence KS every Tuesday night for a couple of years. I also play music for and with children regularly. Here's a picture of me with a young fan in the good old summertime:
You can also find me during the holidays with this awesome band:
Some other bands in the fam: My bandmate Melinda Winifred Jane Tentrees is in a band called A Bit Shifty; my drummer, Tom Collins is in a band called The Perfect Teeth with Chris Wilson and Dan Huck of The In?. Dan went on tour with Love-O-Rama as bass for Celia's Big Rock Band, and Chris played with the Yuletide Express in '07.

*Melody of Angora*
I met her one school-year
Playing songs in the basement
She was pure and alluring
And she smiled with a fire
No, she doesn't remember
But she now calls me over
And I feel close to Heaven
When I walk through her door
Can I wrap my smile around you too?
Can I give you truth with each moment that's new?
Will you let me love you and be your sweet friend –
A dear chum till the end?
So we skip to our moonwalks
And we dance near the river
And we sing like we're children
And we're lookin' for more
We play, play, play, play till we're restless
And we haven't a choice
And her eyes prompt a chord – chord change
And I reach out my voice
Can I wrap my song around you too?
Can we conversate and pretend its all true?
Will you let me love you until I must go-
It'll be fun just to know.
Ohh-ohhhohh…
Ooohhh-ohhhhhh…
Then she says she adores me
Yeah, she calls me her darling
She tells me "Oh, sweetheart
I pour out my love"
She mentions so swiftly
That all she has wanted
Was me in her arms –
And she smiles from above
Can I wrap my arms around you too?
Can we swim for keeps in our ocean of blue?
Will you let me love you – I'm asking again
My sensuous friend.
Well I gathered the spice
From all the things nice
I fell into the trance
Her honest romance…
And
Well
It's not what I'd hoped for
Not what I had managed
Or anticipated
It was probably more
All so unexpected
But luscious and creamy
Sincere and delightful
Peculiar and lush
Like Orange Jubilee
And a beach full of hammocks
A lock a key
Yeah, she fancied me…
Can I wrap my legs around you too?
Can we melt as one as I dive into you?
Will you let me love you from inside out
Find what you're about?
Ohhhhh….
Can I wrap my soul around you too?
Feel your sweet embrace and believe its all true?
Will you let me love you as I did before?
Or are you shutting the door?
I'll be your friend, nothing more…
C'mon, I'm not keeping score…
We've such great rapport…
Ah, I guess not anymore.
