It is quite rare that a band succeeds in uniting different genres of music to a coherent, complete album. Cell Division did just that, by weaving together the ideas of all four band members with their individual musical backgrounds. The result: on Chymeia the dark mood created by Mirjams electric guitar was raised to a higher level. The pop/rock-song are influenced by Trip-Hop, Club-Dance or even Jazz and show the diversity of the band. Nevertheless, the leitmotif of Chymeia is the slightly melancholic atmosphere and the extraordinary voice of the singer Gelgia. In every song - and also on the album as a whole - you will feel the extraordinary vibe that Cell Division envisioned when creating Chymeia.
Chymeia is an album that takes the listener on a journey with many different stages and stations. Each song is different, but all belong together. Have a good trip.
