With rock at its core, the added elements of psychedelia, blues, metal, alternative, Hispanic, and Middle Eastern influences make Cell 5 the latest force to be reckoned with on the forefront of progressive music. Based in Knoxville, Tennessee, the band cohesively assembles intricate structures, swirling scales, and haunting melodies to create an atmosphere of pure emotion, vibrant energy, and brutal honesty. Formed in October of 2006, Cell 5 came together with the hopes of incorporating their individual musical endeavors into a unifying vision that rekindles the inextinguishable, yet smoldering flame of the heart of rock n' roll, as well as laying the foundation for rock's next evolutionary step. The band is currently compiling a set list of original material for a full-length debut album, tentatively scheduled for late summer of 2008. While pursuing this goal, they will continue to play live shows and events for the masses to enjoy.
As always you guys put on a great show last night. I have to give extra credit to Josh who was not allowed to play his own drums.....and still kicked ass. Congrats to you all.

We (A Whole 'Nutha World - A.K.A. Cell 5) played the Corner Lounge last night and it was a fantastic show. We enjoyed the Poetry Slam with all the artists from Knoxville and the various out of towners who came with their A-Game. We enjoyed the music from all the other bands and R&B artists who came to make the crowd move. And we ejoyed all the great feedback from these artists and their fans. All in all it was another magical performance that we look forward to repeating as soon as possible. Knoxville has a great music scene, you just have to look a little harder to find it.
So MAD props to Black Atticus, Rhea Sunshine, Star Child, The Knoxvillains, Que, R!co, Second String, G-Live and Manhattan Project. If you see any of these names on the marquee, GO SEE THAT SHOW. They are all wonderful talents, diamonds in the rough terrain of Knoxville's dusty little music scene. They are big city talent in a small east Tennessee town.
Thanks to everyone who saw the show, gave us feedback, and entertained us until we climbed on stage. Thanks to the Corner Lounge for letting us perform, and helping with our soundcheck. And thanks to Atticus and Rhea for helping set it up.
You guys did an amazing job. Best birthday party I have ever attended, and it was all due to the talented musicians and amazing music. Now we just need to come up with an excuse to get everyone together and do it again. ;)
